Free USIW Wi-Fi hotspots in Minneapolis if you have a credit card
Free USIW Wi-Fi hotspots are supposed to be available around the City now (total of 117). I’ve attached the map for south Minneapolis.
I had trouble accessing the system in Standish Neighborhood Saturday morning with my iPod Touch. I was able to get to the login screen today at 26th Ave. S. and Franklin E. (northwest corner). You do have to have a credit card for creating the account although you won’t be charged. (I really wish they could have figured out a way to do this for people that don’t have credit cards and because I really don’t like to share that information if I’m not actually buying something.)
